New Twitter CEO Takes Strict Measures On Photo And Video Sharing Policy, Account Will Be Locked For 7 Days – Punekar News

New Delhi, December 1, 2021: As soon as he became CEO of Twitter, Parag Agarwal is in the mood for action. Agarwal detailed the company’s security policy. Sharing private photos and videos without permission has been prohibited in Twitter security mode.

In case of violation of this policy, the account was ordered to be temporarily blocked for 7 days. Twitter said posts sharing photos and videos without permission may be removed. However, this policy does not apply to popular figures and experts, as their tweets are considered to be in the public interest.

According to the company, there have been numerous cases of private photo sharing without permission, in which people have been mentally and physically harassed by others sharing private photos and videos. The microblogging platform said such an act would be considered a crime. Twitter has acknowledged that sharing someone’s photos and videos without permission is tantamount to causing physical and emotional harm.

Twitter said in a report that sharing private media without permission can get anyone in trouble. Women, activists and members of minority communities are the most affected by this. Twitter said that if a report is received against such a message from them, strict action will be taken.

Under existing company policy, posting private information, such as a person’s phone number and identity, is considered a violation. Also exposing someone’s personal information, threatening or encouraging others to do so is also considered a crime. There are growing concerns about the misuse of media and personal information. Thanks to this, incidents such as harassment and bullying of people have increased, said Twitter.
