A Fishers entrepreneur is starting a new tech company called Spokenote LLC. Founder John Wechsler, who also founded Launch Fishers and the Indiana IoT Lab, says the printed stickers provide a unique code that associates with a recorded or downloaded video.

Once paired, users can scan the code on the sticker to watch the video.

“With a speaknote sticker, you can add video to pretty much anything,” Wechsler said. “It’s a powerful concept that is changing the way people communicate. We’ve also made it super easy to use – just scan, smile, share – there’s no app to download or account to set up.

According to Wechsler, the company came up with more than 150 different use cases for the product. Apps include personalized giveaways such as greeting cards and gift cards, instructional videos on rental properties, and home care instructions for patients.

“The reception of the product has been just amazing, as there are so many ways to use it,” Wechsler said. “In fact, as we previewed it with potential customers and partners, it became increasingly difficult to keep things a secret. When people see it, they want to try it.

Wechsler says the product is already attracting interest from several major retail outlets and online stores interested in the product.
